Detroit Muffler & Brakes operates this website. This page explains what we collect when you use it and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you submit the quote form we collect your name, phone number, and optionally your email address, vehicle, and a description of the problem. We use this to contact you about your vehicle and prepare your quote, and as described under Advertising measurement below.

How we deliver your request: your quote request is sent to our shop by email through Resend, our email delivery provider. Resend only handles delivering that one message to us.

Automatic collection & cookies

Every page on this site loads Google Tag Manager and Google’s advertising tag, whether or not you ever submit a form. These set cookies and receive your IP address and browser (user-agent) information so Google can measure ad performance and site analytics. This happens automatically for every visitor, not only for people who fill out the quote form.

Advertising measurement

We advertise on Google. To measure which ads bring us calls and quote requests, we use Google Ads conversion tracking, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager. If you arrive from a Google ad, the phone number shown may be a Google forwarding number that connects directly to our shop, so Google can report that the call happened.

When you submit the quote form we may send your name, email address, and phone number to Google so it can match the conversion to an ad click. Google’s tag converts these into a hashed, non-reversible form in your browser before sending them — we never send Google the plain values ourselves.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone other than the service providers named above (Resend and Google), and we do not use it for anything except responding to you and measuring our advertising.
